COUNTY LEGISLATURE RECOGNIZESMAY AS NATIONAL FOSTER PARENT APPRECIATION MONTH - The Oswego County Legislature's Human Services Committee presented a proclamation to the Foster and Adoptive Home Development Team designatingMay as Foster Parent Appreciation Month.Each year in the U.S., approximately 30,000 young people leave the foster care system without lifelong families. Devoted foster parents are making great efforts to change the life of a child or youth in foster care by providing them with the security and stability that they need.
