The Oswego County Legislature recognized November 17 as National Adoption Day during their monthly meeting. With thousands of children currently in foster care in New York State, outreach to adoptive families is a critical step in moving children into loving, permanent homes. For those who are interested in becoming a foster or adoptive parent, the Oswego County Department of Social Services (DSS) will host an informational meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4 at their office on Spring Street in Mexico. The Oswego County Legislature's Health and Human Services Committee presented the proclamation to DSS staff. Pictured from left are Daniel T. Farfaglia, District 24; Stephen M.
