OSWEGO - The Oswego County Community Health and Poverty Reduction Task Force will meet with local clergy, church leaders, and faith-based ministries on Thursday, April 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Victory Bible Church, 255 Hungry Lane in Central Square.
This focus group is meeting to learn more about the human services that local churches host or provide and to begin a dialogue with ecumenical leaders about the community needs they perceive and how those needs can best be met. It is just one of many focus group discussions planned for this spring as part of a larger study of health and poverty trends and the delivery of human services in the county.
The Oswego County Legislature created the task force in February to find ways to reverse worsening trends in health behaviors and poverty in Oswego County.
