HANNIBAL - As part of an on-going effort by the Office for the Aging (OFA) to address the needs of seniors in Oswego County, the agency is now providing transportation to and from the Hannibal Senior Dining and Activity Center, with an additional brief stop for shopping, on Wednesdays.
The Hannibal Senior Center is located at the Hannibal Community Library, 162 Oswego St., and is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Anyone wishing to be transported to or from the site on Wednesdays should call site manager Carmen Griffin, phone 564-5471, to make a reservation. There is no cost for this service.
“We’re pleased to offer this service,” said Sara Sunday, Aging Services Administrator. “The Office for the Aging is able to provide transportation for those aged 60 and older with funding provided by the Oswego County Legislature, New York State Office for the Aging, the US Administration for Community Living, and participant contributions.”
For more information on services provided by the Office for the Aging, call 349-3484 weekdays or visit www.oswegocounty.com/ofa.
