Emergency Medical Services Providers to be Honored at Annual Banquet May 13
Fulton - The Oswego County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council (EMSAC) will honor emergency medical services providers for outstanding patient care during the annual Awards Banquet Friday, May 13, at the Oasis at Thunder Island, 21 Wilcox Road, Fulton.
The awards are based on the actions of emergency medical services (EMS) providers in the calendar year 2015, and are chosen by a subcommittee of EMSAC. "This is a wonderful opportunity to honor the professionals who serve the community as emergency medical services providers in emergency care," said EMSAC President Lyle Robbins. "We encourage the community to come and recognize these highly trained and compassionate people."
The public is invited to the event, at a cost of $15 per person. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m., with the dinner at 7:30 p.m. and award ceremony to follow. Reservations with payment are due by April 29, 2016, to the Oswego County Emergency Management Office/Emergency Medical Services, 200 N. Second St., Fulton, NY 13069. Checks may be made out to "EMS Awards Banquet."
This year's Gold Sponsors include Oswego County Ambulance Service, Entergy, and Exelon Generation. "We appreciate the support these companies give to the emergency medical services community," Robbins said. "Entergy and Oswego County Ambulance Service have been gold sponsors throughout the history of the banquet, and Exelon and its predecessor Constellation Energy has always been either a gold or silver sponsor."
Other major sponsors are Oswego Health and Uniforms Etc. Award sponsorships are still available at $100 each, and anyone interested in being a sponsor may contact one of the banquet committee members or call 315/591-9150.
