OSWEGO – Residents can still make appointments to donate blood in honor of former Assemblyman Ray T. Chesbro at a blood drive Wednesday, April 19.
The Oswego County Legislature is partnering with the American Red Cross to host the blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Oneida Street parking lot of the County Office Building, 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego.
Chesbro served as Deputy County Sheriff and Oswego County Sheriff and was elected to five terms in the New York State Assembly, representing the 117th Assembly District from 1980 to 1990. He also served as an Oswego County Legislator representing District 10 in 1996 and 1997, and was a member of several community organizations.
