Watson is known to many throughout Oswego County for her work in the Oswego County Hospice program and as a public health nurse. She was recently recognized as one of Oswego County's Health Care Heroes. Mark Dryden Receives Commendation from County Legislature



The Oswego County Legislature presented a certificate of commendation to Mexico resident Mark Dryden in appreciation of his efforts to develop and maintain the county’s snowmobile trail system. Dryden, a member of the Mexico Trail Riders and Oswego County Snowmobile Association, has assisted the nine snowmobile clubs throughout the county in obtaining reimbursement for trail grooming, negotiating right-of-ways, and informing the community of trail conditions. The Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented him a commendation in June. Deputy Plyler Named 2005 Deputy of the Year


Deputy Plyler Award

Oswego County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy L. Plyler was co-named 2005 Deputy of the Year by members of the New York State Deputies' Association. He shares the honor with Sgt. Kevin D. Owens of Ontario County. The officers were honored May 8 at a Legislative reception held at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. Deputy Plyler was chosen for his courageous actions in attempting to save the life of a Baldwinsville woman whose vehicle plunged into the frigid water of the Oneida River last fall. Deputy Plyler is a four-year veteran of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office having joined Road Patrol on 4/15/02. Goodsell Retires from Court Attendant Post

Louis Goodsell, a court attendant in the Oswego County Public Safety Center, recently retired from his post. Oswego County Family Court Judge David Roman joined many friends and family to give Goodsell a fond farewell and wish him well.

Randall Shaw, a medium equipment operator for the Oswego County Department of Public Works, retired after 25 years of employment with Oswego County.
