Oswego
County Tax Map Viewer
This application
gives the user the ability to view, measure, and search parcels within Oswego County on a seamless digital tax
map. The application is still in
the test phase and will be constantly updated and edited.
Searching:
Users can
search by Tax ID (i.e., 128.32-01-01) or Owner’s Name (i.e., Doe,
John). Searching by Tax ID can be
accomplished by entering 128.32, for the map, 128.32-01 for the block, or
128.32-01-01 for the specific parcel.
When searching by Owner’s Name, enter the last name followed by
a comma then the first name (Doe, John).
A combination of the name can also be used (Doe, J), (Doe), or
(John). The more information
entered the better the results.
Results:
The
results of a search are displayed in the Results
box located under the Search
box. The results are grouped with
the number of results displayed in parentheses. To see the list of results click the + to expand the group. To
zoom to a specific result, right-click the result and choose “Zoom
to” in the pop up menu.
Check the box to the left of the result to highlight. The Tax Map Viewer will save all
search results in the Results box
until the user deletes by right-clicking the group and choosing remove or close the application.
Measuring:
Users can
measure the length and area of a parcel or parcels in feet, meters, miles, or
kilometers. Click the measure
tool located in the toolbar along the top. Choose whether you want to measure length,
area, or get the coordinates.
When you first click a box will appear where you can choose what unit
to measure in. Feet and square
feet are the defaults.
