SATURDAY

World's Biggest Fair Trade Coffee Break Comes to Oswego!
Oswego, 1-5pm
Aiming to join in a world record for the biggest coffe break, The Mustard Seed Natural Foods Market and Que Colores! will each host a "Fair Trade Coffee Break" on May 10, World Fair Trade Day. It will be one of hundreds of Fair Trade coffee breaks held simultaneously around the country, and will focus on the benefits of Fair Trade for farmers, consumers and the environment. Participating businesses will serve free Fair Trade Coffee, highlight Fair Trade artisan products and have information available on Fair Trade. In order to set the world record, the events will have to draw thousands of people throughout the U.S. participating at the same time.

A ham dinner with all the fixings, beverage & desserts will be prepared and served by the Dempster Grove women's association. The public is invited. Sponsored by Dempster Grove Christian Camp Association, 1124 St. Rte. 104B, $7 adults, $4/children 5-12, under 5 free.

Railroad & Model Train Swap Meet & Yard Sale

Oswego Railroad Museum holds a model train swap and yard sale. Join the celebration of the 139th anniversary of the Golden Spike Ceremony. Come and tailgate, museum parking lot, 56 West 1st St. $5 a spot. Museum admission $2/12 and up, $1/6-12, under 6 free.

Birds of a Feather

This program is for children three to five years old and their parent or grandparent sharing this hands-on experience. Learn about birds in our area with Diann Jackson and make a bird feeder to take home. Pre-registration is required before 5/3. Rice Creek Field Station, SUNY Oswego, Thompson Rd.
