Child & Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS)
What is CFTSS?
Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) are new behavioral health services covered by NYS Medicaid. CFTSS help children and youth with mental health and substance use needs. CFTSS work with each child/youth to provide care in a way that works best for them and their families. The goal of theses services is to help and treat children’s health problems early so that they can have the best health and development possible. Services are available for children/youth who are Enrolled in Medicaid, Under the age of 21 and Need help with social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges, or Need help with substance use issues.
CFTSS for eligible children/youth include the following:
- Other Licensed Professional (OLP)
- Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST)
- Crisis Intervention
- Family Peer Support Services
- Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services
- Youth Peer Advocacy and Training
