Residential Electronics Recycling
On January 1, 2015, New York State enacted the Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act. Residents may no longer dispose of certain types of electronic equipment with their trash at the transfer stations, or for curbside pickup.

- laptops
- notebooks
- printers
- scanners
- fax machines
- computers
- monitors
- gaming systems
- tablets
- e-readers
- microwaves
- VCR, DVR, and DVD players
- cables, cords, or wiring accompanying the electronic equipment

Recycling of Non-Residential or Business-Generated Electronics
Oswego County is unable to take electronics from non-residential or business-generated facilities. We have provided a list of vendors that accept electronics.
