NYS Snowmobile Trails Grant
Since 1986, Oswego County has participated in New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation's snowmobile trail grant program. Each year, the department acts as the local sponsor (an intermediary between the state and the local snowmobile clubs) to apply for and manage the grant program. Through this program, local clubs are eligible for reimbursement of expenses on a per-mile rate. Eligible expenses include labor hours, equipment purchase, trail grooming costs, and much more. This program has proven to be highly successful by adding continuously-available funding for trail upkeep
