Pursuant to Article 245 of the NYS Criminal Procedure Law, defendants in all matters are entitled to Discovery.
Instrument Information For Traffic Tickets (Soon to be Updated)
For vehicle and traffic matters, discovery includes calibration records for all instruments used by police, such as a radar detector or breathalyzer. If you or a client have been issued a traffic ticket, you may find calibration records for the instrument(s) used by the officer by clicking on the appropriate police agency listed below. Once you go to the police agency, there will appear a list of instruments used by that agency, designated by type and serial number. Instructions for Opening Video Recordings (Soon to be Updated)
Pursuant to Article 245, the District Attorney's Office provides all video recordings to the defense as part of discovery. Some recordings are created using specialized software that requires an associated player to open and view it. When the District Attorney's Office provides these recordings, either electronically or through other media (DVD, USB-drive), the player is embedded as part of the digital file.
