Activities kick off on Saturday, April 1 with an Easter Extravaganza at Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, 386 Pine Meadow Rd., Altmar. From 1 to 2:30 p.m., the event offers games, a Lego Block Easter story and an Easter egg hunt.

On Monday, April 3, head to the Ainsworth Memorial Library for drop-in crafts, STEAM activities and book giveaways, while supplies last. Activities will also be offered on Tuesday, April 4, Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 6064 S. Main St., Sandy Creek.

Later on Monday, April 3, visit the Williamstown Public Library from 6 to 8 p.m. for a free Easter T-shirt class. Sponsored by Ricard Grange, the class gives families the opportunity to design their own Easter tees using paint or markers. On Tuesday, April 4, head over to the Half-Shire Historical Society from noon to 3 p.m. for a magic show, light lunch and dessert provided by the Rural Migrant Ministry. Following the magic show, a family-friendly community dance with the New York State Old Tyme Fiddlers’ Association will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., which includes a light dinner. Donations are welcome. The Half-Shire Historical Society is located at 1100 Co. Rte. 48, Richland.

On Thursday, April 6, join a free “Fun with Stamping” art class from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center. Participants will use stamps and assorted coloring supplies to create spring scenes and cards. Later that night, try your hand at a free drawing class from 6 to 8 p.m. and complete a graphite drawing under the guidance of an instructor. Attendees can participate in-person or virtually via Zoom.

On Friday, April 7, come back from 1 to 3 p.m. to make a unique beaded bracelet to keep for yourself or to give to a friend. All ages are welcome to the free class. The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is located at 4848 Jefferson St., Pulaski.

Later on Friday, April 7, head to Selkirk Shores State Park from 4 to 5 p.m. for nature journaling. Families will connect with nature through observations, writing and sketches. Bring a notebook and writing utensil and meet at the enclosed shelter. Continue the adventure by joining a moonlit hike from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Hikers should bring a flashlight and wear weather appropriate clothing. Selkirk Shores State Park is located at 7101 NYS Rte. 3, Pulaski.

Wrap up spring break fun on Saturday, April 8, with a free “Art Trading Cards” project at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees can play with art supplies and make their own unique art to trade with others. Spring breakers can also choose to hop over to the Ainsworth Memorial Library for a children’s Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Participants should bring their own baskets to the event.
