Oswego County Legislature Re-Elects Officers in Annual Elections

OSWEGO – Legislator James Weatherup, District 9, was re-elected to his second term as Chairman of the Oswego County Legislature at the group’s 2020 organizational meeting. Legislators also re-elected Linda Lockwood, District 11, to her seventh term as Vice Chairwoman, and re-elected Christopher Jones to his fourth term as Clerk of the Legislature.

New York State Supreme Court Justice Gregory R. Gilbert administered the oaths of office at the first legislative meeting of the year.

The Legislature’s next regular meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 in the Legislative Chambers of the County Office Building at 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego.

James Weatherup District 9

LEGISLATURE CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED – Legislator James Weatherup, District 9, received a unanimous vote as Chairman of the Oswego County Legislature at the 2020 organizational meeting. New York State Supreme Court Justice Gregory R. Gilbert administered the oath of office.


 

Linda Lockwood District 11

LEGISLATOR LOCKWOOD RE-ELECTED -- Oswego County Legislature Vice Chairwoman Linda Lockwood, District 11, recited the oath of office before Hon. Gregory R. Gilbert, New York State Supreme Court Justice, after being unanimously re-elected to her seventh term.

JONES RE-ELECTED AS LEGISLATURE CLERK – Christopher Jones officially begins his fourth term as Clerk of the Oswego County Legislature in 2020. New York State Supreme Court Justice Gregory R. Gilbert officiated the oath as Jones’ daughter Jennifer held the Bible.
