Looking for a fun and rewarding summer job? Oswego AmeriCorps seeks individuals who are interested in community service and education and want to have a lasting impact in their community.

There are a wide variety of opportunities available for 300-hour summer contracts. AmeriCorps members can serve at various sites, including Camp Hollis, Legends Fields, Camp Zerbe, Camp Foundations, Summer Sun & Fun at Kingsford Park School, the Springboard Mural Project, the Little Free Libraries Program, Catholic Charities at the CYO, and with Schroeppel Town.

AmeriCorps members receive a living allowance paid bi-weekly. Once they complete their term of service, they also earn an education award that can be used for tuition costs or student loans at a qualified institution. 300-hour positions earn a total living allowance of $3,041 and an education award of $1,459.26.

To be eligible for an AmeriCorps position, applicants must be 17 years of age or over and have – or be working toward – a high school diploma or GED. Placement sites may have additional work experience or education requirements.
