Free Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop Begins May 22

The Oswego County Health Department hosts its next Chronic Disease Self-Management Program for Oswego County residents starting May 22 and continuing every Wednesday through June 26. Each session runs from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic, 70 Bunner St., Oswego.

The interactive six-week series is a peer-led education program designed for people who live with chronic pain or those who care for someone with chronic pain. Chronic disease includes high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, and autoimmune disorders. Participants will learn skills to manage ongoing health conditions to live a healthy lifestyle.
