Oswego County Recognizes Law Enforcement at May Meeting

OSWEGO COUNTY RECOGNIZES LAW ENFORCEMENT AT MAY MEETING – The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented two proclamations to members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office during the Legislature’s May meeting. The recognitions honored May 12-18 as National Police Week and May 5-11 as National Correctional Officers Week. National Police Week highlights the important role that law enforcement officers play in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of all citizens and honors officers for their essential public service. National Correctional Officers Week recognizes the men and women who work in the field of corrections and the important role they play within the criminal justice system.
