Training / Education
The department, being responsible for 239 Review, has a vested interest in educating the planning and zoning officials throughout the county. We will post upcoming training opportunities on this page as we are made aware of them. Training may be in-person throughout the region, but the majority of training will most likely be through online webinars hosted by government agencies or non-profit agencies.
We have compiled a list of resources that are hosted online for 24/7 access, which can be found on our external resources page.
Required Annual Training for Planning & Zoning Officials
Every person appointed to a planning or zoning board is required to log a minimum of four hours of relevant training per year. Municipalities are given discretion over crediting hours. Please refer to this web site for additional information on this requirement.
