Special Services Unit
The Oswego County Probation Department has 12 active special service officers who receive training in the following areas: firearms, expandable Baton, OC spray and defensive tactics. These officers conduct warrant sweeps and unannounced home visits on probationers. They are responsible for conducting searches as well as executing probation warrants and Orders to Produce. These special duties sometimes involve non-traditional hours, such as early morning or late evening.
