Oswego County Fair Still Needs Volunteers

June 23, 2023

The Oswego County Fair Board is still looking for volunteers to help with various projects and events at the fairgrounds in Sandy Creek.

“We’re looking for volunteers from all walks of life to help with all manner of tasks,” said Oswego County Fair Board President Harold Smith. “This includes helping to run events like next weekend’s county fair, to helping maintain the property itself. If you have special skills in any of the trades, please reach out to us.”

The Board welcomes individual and group volunteers to pitch in. This includes students looking to fulfil their community service requirement for school, church or social organizations and families who want to get more involved in making their community a better place.

The Oswego County Fair is scheduled to run from Friday, June 30 to Sunday, July 2. Packed with summer fun, the event features three full days of live music and farm animals competing to go to the New York State Fair. Don’t forget to check out the truck and tractor pulls, a cornhole tournament, midway rides with Ontario Amusements and high-flying acrobatics with “Circus Incredible!”
