The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department presented civilian appreciation awards to Kenneth Bush, Lynn Harper, Nicklaus Hoyt, Jessica Hoyt and Albert Kalfass for their brave and selfless actions during a fatal car crash. The driver of the vehicle was trapped inside his pickup truck, which had caught on fire, when the civilians took life-saving measures to help members of the Sheriff’s Department remove the driver from the vehicle and attempt to extinguish the flames.
