Oswego County Mobility Management Offers ‘Shop-n-Shuttle’ in Fulton

Nov. 17, 2023

The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management offers a “Shop-n-Shuttle” service to residents of Towpath Towers in Fulton, providing them with round-trip, curb-to-curb transportation to Aldi supermarket twice a month.

The bus runs on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Riders are picked up at 10:30 a.m. and have time to shop until the return bus picks them up at noon. Residents can sign up for “Shop-n-Shuttle” in the Towpath Towers lobby.

“‘Shop-n-Shuttle’ is a new initiative to provide our older residents curb-to-curb transportation to Aldi,” said Oswego County Director of Mobility Management Heather Snow. “It allows them to shop for their groceries at the supermarket and not have to worry about navigating bus routes or being on the bus for a long time.

“Our buses are also fully ADA-compliant, providing simple and convenient transportation for wheelchair users,” Snow continued. “As interest in ‘Shop-n-Shuttle’ grows, we hope to expand the service to other Fulton locations.”

“Shop-n-Shuttle” is a collaboration between the Oswego County Department of Mobility Management, Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. (OCO), the Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) and Towpath Towers. The service is funded through an OFA grant, making it free for Towpath Towers residents to use.
