Oswego County Veterans’ Services Agency Expands Satellite Hours in Oswego

Jan. 26, 2024

The Oswego County Veterans’ Services Agency (VSA) announces weekly office hours at the Oswego VA Outpatient Clinic. Satellite hours are held in Oswego and Pulaski to make services more accessible to veterans.

“We began offering satellite hours last year with the goal of providing assistance and support to as many veterans as possible,” said Oswego County Veterans’ Services Director Eric Boozer. “Due to the high demand at the Oswego location, we have decided to expand our availability for veterans to come in and ask questions or get help on their benefits applications. Instead of hosting hours twice a month, Oswego satellite hours will be held weekly.”

Starting on Feb. 6, new satellite hours in Oswego will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the Oswego VA Outpatient Clinic, located at 293 NYS Rte. 104.

Pulaski satellite hours will continue to be open on the first and second Thursday of the month from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse, located at 1 Broad St.

Oswego County VSA is a county-run department that helps local veterans, their spouses and dependents file for federal benefits and services. Its staff can assist with applications for compensation, pension, survivor pension, medical care, education benefits and VA home loans.

Because these services can be completed online, VSA representatives can provide the same level of service to veterans at satellite offices that it does in its main office, which is located at 200 N. Second St., Fulton and open for appointments Monday through Friday.
