This afternoon, at around 12:25 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of state Route 3 and county Route 8 in the town of Granby. 

The accident involved a large commercial vehicle and a Toyota Prius. The driver of the Prius was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As a result, state Route 3, between Rathburn Road and Hannibal Street, will remain closed for several more hours.

This incident is actively under investigation and an update will be provided later tonight or tomorrow morning.
