Nutrition Site Transportation: OFA contracts with Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. (OCO) to provide door-to-door transportation to five Senior Nutrition Sites throughout the county (Central Square, Fulton, Mexico, Parish and Phoenix) as well as a brief stop for shopping. Reservations are required and can be made by contracting the nutrition site manager at least one day in advance.

Out of County Medical Appointment Transportation: OFA is the recipient of a small grant to offer Out-Of-County Medical appointment transportation. This transportation is available to those age 60 or older who are not enrolled in Medicaid. OFA schedules the ride through GoGo Granparent who utilizes drivers from LYFT and UBER. There is no cost to the rider for this transporation option. Funding is limited. Call OFA at 315-349-3484 to schedule rides. 

Curb-to-Curb Transportation for Seniors: This program provides curb-to-curb transportation services for seniors who don’t have access to a designated bus route. Transportation can be for priority services such as - doctor appointments, pharmacy pick ups, and grocery shopping. Transportation is available between the hours of 9am - 4pm. The Curb-to-Curb Transportation for Seniors service is provided through a contract with Oswego County Opportunities (OCO). Curb-to-Curb is free for anyone who is 60 years or older, but riders are welcome to contribute to the cost of service. No one will be denied service due to inability or unwillingness to contribute.The suggested contribution is $3 per trip, $5 round trip. Participants who self-disclose income at or above 185% of the Federal Poverty Line ($2,248 per month for a single person), a suggested contribution is equal to the actual cost of the service.

To schedule a ride, call OCO Transportation at 315-598-1514 at least three days in advance and ask to make a Curb-to-Curb appointment. You will need to provide the dispatcher with: name, date of birth (proof you are at least 60), home address, gender, race/ethnicity.
