Oswego Health, one of Oswego County’s largest local employers, will hold a hiring event at the Oswego County Workforce NY (OCWNY) Career Center, 200 N. Second St., Fulton. The event will run by appointment only from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24.

Oswego Health is currently looking to fill a variety of positions, ranging from Environmental Services (EVS) technicians to patient sitters.

Oswego Health Vice President of Human Resources Marq Brown said, “This community deserves high-quality care, and our mission at Oswego Health is to provide just that by recruiting the best of the best.

“We know that our employees are our greatest assets and so we strive to provide opportunities that reinvest in them,” he added. “From our tuition reimbursement program, which is designed to make it financially easy for our employees to build careers in healthcare, to a fully compensated, on-the-job training opportunity for those looking to become Certified Nursing Assistants at Seneca Hill Manor. If you’re considering starting a career in healthcare, Oswego Health provides ample opportunity for advancement with 17 locations throughout the community.”

OCWNY launched a new initiative to shine a spotlight on local employers to show what their work life is like and encourage potential candidates to apply. Oswego Health is the first featured employer.

The public is invited to follow along on OCWNY’s social media pages throughout the week of Aug. 15 to learn more about the current openings at Oswego Health, how to apply and what working for the agency looks like.
