The summer day camp program at Camp Zerbe returns this year, offering seven sessions for children ages 6 to 12. Each camp session runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and registration is $30 per week.

Each weekly session has a unique theme to provide campers with a fun experience and a better understanding of nature.

The seven themes included in this year’s program are as follows:

Week 1: July 1 to 5 – Holidays Week
Get into the holiday spirit this week with a festive journey from Christmas in July to Halloween. Each day includes a unique blend of themed activities, crafts and games.

Week 2: July 8 to 12 – Pirates Week
Prepare to set sail on an unforgettable adventure! This week is all about themed excitement, exploration and daring adventures.

Week 3: July 15 to 19 – Sports Camp Week
Unleash your inner athlete and get ready for adrenaline-pumping activities, friendly competitions and more.

Week 4: July 22 to 26 – Shooting Stars Week
Immerse yourself in glitz and glamor, where future stars can let their creativity shine. This blockbuster experience is designed for aspiring actors, directors and movie buffs alike.

Week 5: July 29 to Aug. 2 – Olympics Week
Mark this year’s summer Olympics with spirited competition, teamwork and a celebration of athletic prowess. Campers will participate in various Olympic-inspired activities, including track and field events and arts and crafts projects.

Week 6: Aug. 5 to 9 – Game Show Week
Showcase your skills, wit and teamwork as the camp transforms into a thrilling game show arena! From brain-teasing trivia to heart-pounding physical competitions, each day offers a fun new experience.

Week 7: Aug. 12 to 16 – Spirit Week
Join a fun-filled week celebrating self-expression and team spirit! Campers can dress up in wacky outfits, participate in spirited challenges and activities, and showcase their unique personalities.

Camp Zerbe is also looking for counselors for the summer camp program. Summer camp counselors work at Camp Zerbe through the Oswego AmeriCorps Program, which serves county youth by providing fitness and nutrition education activities during the camp day. AmeriCorps members receive a living allowance and, upon completion of the program, also receive an educational award that can be used to pay on student loans or finance college, graduate school or vocational training at qualified institutions. The Oswego County Nature Park at Camp Zerbe is owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. The 540-acre facility is located in Williamstown and includes an interpretive nature center, playground and other amenities. It also offers pavilion and lodge rentals during the summer months.
